A New Beginning
And so, we begin again…
For more years than I care to admit I’ve dreamed of being a writer. I’ve learned to admit I am good. I’ve learned the craft and babied the talent. But I’ve not developed the one vital discipline necessary for success.
The One Vital Discipline Necessary For Writer Success
What is this elusive discipline? To write, every day.
To truly succeed as a writer one must put aside fear, procrastination, excuses, and won’t-power. Each day should see a writer spending some portion of that day putting words on a page. They don’t have to be good words, they don’t have to be forward momentum words, they just have to be words on a page.
Words On A Page
That is where “A Book Thing” comes in. I don’t want to associate this blog with my name yet. I just want to have a place where I can put words on a page. I want a place where I can hide my face. I want to leave these words unclaimed, to have the freedom to write badly without fear of sensor or judgment.
“A Book Thing” is a place to hide my words.
It is a place to begin again.
