Gratitude Journal – 05 Nov 2009
It’s been a while since I shared my Gratitude’s here so after spending some time looking for my most “out-of-the-box” gratitude of the past I thought I’d take a few minutes to update with today’s 10 things.
- I am so thankful for my precious baby boy. I was so proud of you today! Baby Boy performed in a musical production put together by his school. He sung lots of songs and did the actions. I felt such pride and joy watching his face light up with smiles and listening to his little voice stumbling over the words. You tried your hardest and enjoyed yourself which is the whole point. I’m looking forward to watching you again tomorrow.
- Today I again give thanks to my family. Thank you to my mother and stepfather, sister, and brother-in-law for taking the time to support my little man. Your attendance tonight meant the world to me and I’m sure it meant as much to him. It was a pleasure to be able to share this with you and while I can’t imagine anyone could have enjoyed it as much as I, his doting mother, I hope you enjoyed the experience.
- Thank you my beautiful daughter. You were a great big sister today and I think your little brother was very pleased to have you watching him perform. I also appreciate all your help around the house. Your assistance allowed me to get things finished up here and still manage to meet time restraints. I’m also very thankful for your bright mind and your personal integrity and initiative. When you chose to spend time completing your homework I was proud of your sense of responsibility, that you accomplished such excellent results is inspiring.
- Thank you for cool things to drink. Today was warm and muggy. I am very thankful for the fluids I could drink to replace the water within my body, to cool me and refresh me. Sometimes the simplest sips are nectar.
- Thank you to the universe that gives me the messages I need to hear, exactly when I’m ready to hear them. I’m thrilled to be reminded of the significance my Gratitude Journal has played in the past and glad to have this opportunity to return to it.
- I truly appreciate the wonderful people who attended Tarot Chat today. The energy was vibrant and uplifting. Exactly what I needed to help bouy me through these next few days. I’ve been feeling the downward spiral of my Bipolar swing and am truly grateful for the boost that helped me through today and inspires me for tomorrow.
- I’d like to give gratitude to the teachers and staff at my childrens’ school. You’re dedication, creativity, and passion make me very glad that you play a part on my childrens’ lives. Tonight you proved that with hard work and commitment you can pull together hundreds of children into a cohesive unit. I can’t begin to imagine the work that must have been involved in getting this production together and I think you’ve done a fantastic job. You’re leaving an impact on the lives of these children that will last a lifetime. Thank you for allowing me and my family to be a part of it.
- I give thanks for the roof over my head tonight, for fly screens that keep out the bugs, for an air cooling system that restores a chill to formerly muggy air, for blankets to stave off that chill, for a safe place to sleep, for lockable doors and windows, for a place to call my own and hang my hat. I am truly thankful.
- Thank you to all the friends who touched my social circle today. No matter how small or large a part you played in my life today, you matter and I would be a lesser person without you.
- I’m struggling tonight and I suspect it’s because I’m tired. So, perhaps, my final gratitude should go to a full and busy day. Today, I proved that I can accomplish great things, that I can pull things together in an orderly way, and that it doesn’t have to be perfect. Even rushed we got things done well and I think, in not being concerned about getting it ‘just right’ or ‘just so’ I was able to enjoy the moments that matter all the more.
